it is a most versatile vehicle.
I speak of Chrysler’s PT Cruiser. I was not sure I was going to like it when we first picked it out,but with our credit the choices were just a little ugly. It was a 5 speed which started the endearing process.
At this time I cannot recount in the past 3 months how often this vehicle has proven itself. Whether saving me from borrowing someone’s truck to carrying all of my sister in law’s luggage on her arrival into Missouri and getting good fuel mileage doing so it has proven itself to me.
Not just a vehicle, but a part of the family.
Today it will again make it’s payment seem too small for what it is worth. A phone call came from my helper who brings his van down to load Sunday Newspapers in and the news I had been dreading came. The old sputtering Chevy conversion van would no longer be available…..meaning I had nothing to load my papers in before I roll them and start delivering. I used to own an old Ford van for the job,but a hole in the oil pan KOed the six cylinder.
Instead of freaking out, which 3 months ago I would have done,I started pulling the rear seats out of the Cruiser. Stacking right I would be able to fit all 600 papers in with a little extra room. Now that is a versatile car.
And to think we were originally going for a two door coupe!!!!!
I will let you know how it goes, because it is going to supplant our normal delivery neon too so I do not have to bring two vehicles down. Should work just fine. Small enough to be nimble and fuel efficent, yet with enough cargo room for 600 of Kansas City Star’s finest.
Love my Cruiser!
